RINK PROJECT APPROVAL REQUEST SUBMITTED TO VILLAGE

The Development Plan Application for our "Time Warner Cable Ice Centre" on Riley Street was submitted to the East Aurora Village Board of Trustees in late April, and is currently under review by the Village Planning Commission. The Village Board has commissioned the engineering firm of Clough Harbour & Associates to serve as an independent technical advisor on SEQRA and Site Plan related matters. The Village Board has also requested a study from the Greater Buffalo-Niagara Regional Transportation Council to determine the impact of rink traffic and parking.

The Development Plan Application is available for public viewing at the Village Hall. Before approval of the project, the Village will announce a date for a public hearing, and that is expected to be scheduled for late July or early August.

We urge all East Aurora residents to review our plans for the proposed rink, and support our efforts to bring this needed new community asset to the heart of our historic village.
